Cover Art is the main focus of a book and is designed to capture the readers eye. Once this is accomplished, then its up to the blurb keep the readers attention and entice them to purchase it.
The most important aspect of a cover, whether for e-book, print book, cd for software or music, or for a dvd, is that it reflects the story or topic.
If its a book you are needing a cover for, think of one of the scenes from the story. Ponder about color schemes and the mood you would like to set for the reader. The mood of course will be based on your genre. Is it a romance, thriller or perhaps sci-fi or comedy.
